Today marks the launch of One Question, a new kind of event that breaks all the rules.

A conference that cuts through the noise answering one question – with no fluff, no slides – just thoughtful conversation.

Taking place in London later this year, the inaugural event will tackle one important theme:

How do we successfully marry humanity with technology?

How do we advance into an age of new digital services, apps and products, without suppressing or quashing our human desires?

Sony, for example, will be present to discuss how music – one of the most emotive parts of our culture – has been impacted since the launch music streaming services and more.

While media champions, including The Memo, will discuss how increasingly accessible data is shaping the publications we love – or loathe – to read.

Rory Sutherland, Vice-Chairman and Executive Creative Director of Ogilvy, will deliver the keynote at the event.

Other thought leaders will include Jeremy Waite, Hill+Knowlton’s Director of Content and Publishing Vikki Chowney, investor Gabbi Cahane and journalist Monty Munford.

Speakers will also put pen to paper to answer the question, which will be compiled into One Edition, a print magazine distributed at the event.

A conference with a difference

Founded by marketing-technology veteran Sarah Parsonage, in partnership with Pearson College London, One Question will take the conference back to what it should be; an experience in education and innovation.

Parsonage is also publisher for The Memo.

“I wanted to create something that has a specific focus and challenges the way that people currently think,” said Parsonage.

The event will also introduce a new bursary for young marketing minds.

“It is opportunities like this that enable our students to learn, be motivated and develop to achieve their desired careers,” said Els Howard-Polman of Pearson College London.

Do not miss.

The inaugural One Question will take place at 9am on Wednesday 2 November 2016 at The Banking Hall in London. See the full lineup and register  for tickets at onequestion.live.
