Light up the gloomiest month of the year at King’s Cross, Mayfair, Piccadilly, Regent Street and St James in London. Iconic architecture will be transformed with 3D projections and extraordinary sculptures at the Lumiere London festival until 17 January.

Musically inspire yourself at BoxPark Dubai Shopping Festival. BeatBoxing artists join forces with violinists, handpan artists and even a brass band, mixing urban beats and a whole lot more throughout January.

Stimulate all five senses at Japan’s biggest art & light show. The long-awaited Flowers Festival will transform Mitsui Hall into a wild jumble of flowers and scents and is set to be one of the top events in the Tokyo art calendar until 11 February.

Totally killing it. It might sound a bit dark, but Making a Murderer is the addictive new documentary on Netflix which had us hooked until the early hours. Filmed over 10 years the series charts the plight of Steven Avery, wrongfully convicted not once, but twice of murder and rape.
