Curve – the credit card we’ve been waiting for

The short of it

Curve is the mother of all credit cards. After loading all your cards onto it, you won’t need your wallet again.

Why do I care?

Ever forgot your company card and had to pay for dinner on your personal account? Ouch.

With Curve, this never has to happen again. With all your cards in one place, business expenses suddenly got a whole lot less painful.

Curve uses Mastercard – which means it’s accepted pretty much anywhere.

So how does it work?

Curve uses an iOS app (sorry Android users).

The interface is just like Apple Pay. Just select the card you want you use on the app and your Mastercard will charge it the time you use it. Simples.

Can I use it abroad?

Yes. It’s also a smart way to save money when paying in different currencies.

Curve will charge you for paying in euros at a much better rate than your normal credit card. It’s a no brainer and will save you serious cash on your holiday.

Can curve really replace all my cards?

Yes, except American Express.

When Curve launched and supported Amex it meant you could finally collect those hard-earned air miles without having to worry about shops not taking Mastercards.

Amex have temporarily paused the agreement – we hope it’ll come back again in the future.

So – how much is this going to cost me?

£35. There’s a one-off fee for getting the card and then that’s it.

Our take

Curve’s one of those brilliant things that’s so simple, you wonder why somebody hadn’t thought of it already. There’s already a big waiting list.

If you can get your hands on one, Curve Card is probably the best £35 you’ll ever spend.
