Editor’s note: The data shown in our Buzz Radar dashboard reflects the reaction on social media around the EU referendum. Social conversations can tell us how people feel about a topic, but do not necessarily reflect voter intention.

We saw the same trend with our 2015 General Election Monitor, so view the data above with caution.

Brexit explained

On June 23 Britain goes to the polls to vote on the most important issue of our generation.

Throughout the campaign we’ll be crunching the numbers with our live data dashboard above, created by our friends at Buzz Radar.

With over 100,000 tweets and 10,000 Facebook posts every day about #Brexit, the debate has never been hotter.

Stay informed by checking back with our live dashboard throughout the campaign, and take a look at Referendum.wtf if you want to swot up on the facts in the debate.

Our take

The Memo proudly supports the ‘Remain’ campaign.

We saw for ourselves just the role the EU plays in our future when we visited Brussels earlier this year, a view shared by EIT Digital CEO, Willem Jonker:

“Digital does not stop at the borders of a country”

It’s not just about being able to travel without a Visa and work across the EU.

The European Union is far from perfect. But without the the EU, Britain would not be so great.

The migration crisis, the Euro and the EU’s failure to reach and resonate with ordinary people are all testaments to that fact. But those imperfections alone are not enough to overlook the good.

In business, life and even politics, together we are all stronger.
