This week Switzerland could have been the first country in the world to adopt this game-changing idea. Sadly the country rejected it outright, with 77% opposing it. If the proposal had been successful, every citizen would have received £1,755 per month, regardless of whether they worked or not.
But universal income isn’t going away soon. Its supporters claim this is just the beginning.
